IRP 2014

My 2014-2015 Summer Reading texts will Include:

1. Game of Thrones 

Rationale: 

I have a lot of friends on my crew team that read Game of Thrones and I've been interested in reading the book to be able to understand what they are talking about and it just seems like an interesting book. 

2. Beautiful Ruins 

Rationale:
My mom read Beautiful Ruins this past year and she has been telling me that I should read it and the summer reading is the perfect chance for me to read it. 

3. Im going to watch 12 years a slave

Rationale:

I have heard so many things about this movie and it has won so many awards and it sounds like it is an amazing movie to watch.

Taming of the Shrew

To me changing as a person is your personality changes, how you act changes, you ideas and thoughts change and how you present yourself changes. Changing as a person can be very hard because its like becoming a whole new person and changing your habits and to change your habits can be really hard and it can take a lot of time and effort. At first I thought Kate was changing. I thought she was becoming less of a shrew and more of a kind gentle woman but as I kept reading I found that she in fact hasn't changed. She is a still somewhat bitter lady who is deffinately not the kindest, nicest most warm and friendly person in this play.I do feel that Kate has become nicer than before but she hasnt become nice enough to say she has changed as a person.

Is he wrong?

I think what he's planning on doing is a bad plan. I don't think any man should be able to 'train' their wife. A women is not their property. They're equals in a relationship and it's just a bad plan. Especially if he doesn't really love her and he's just going to marry her for the money he should at least treat her right and with more respect than he gives her.
